Terms of Service
By using Mock Draft Nation.com you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What Mock Draft Nation is
Mock Draft Nation lets you make mock drafts, rank prospects, predict how players' careers will go, rank all-time lists, and keep a dated record of those calls. It is free to use, and it is for fun and bragging rights. There is no gambling here. You cannot wager money, nothing on the site is betting advice, and no prizes are paid.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- One account per person. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
3. Published means permanent
When you publish a mock, a list or a prediction, it is locked with the date and time and cannot be edited or deleted. That is what makes a record worth having. You can keep working and publish new versions, and the older ones stay on your ledger with their dates. If you close your account, we take your name off your published records, as explained in the Privacy Policy, but the records themselves stay.
4. What you post
Most of what you make is picked from the site's own player database, so there is little room for trouble. But usernames, display names, group names, names typed into a challenge, and comments are yours to write, and they must not:
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or target people for who they are;
- pretend to be someone else, including a player, reporter, team or Mock Draft Nation;
- be sexual, hateful or illegal, or share someone's private information;
- advertise, spam, or link to gambling.
Reporting. If you see something that breaks these rules, or something that is about you and should not be there, email contact@mockdraftnation.com with a link. We may remove or rename content, remove someone from a group, or close accounts that break these rules. Because published records cannot be deleted, removing a published item means taking the offending name or text off it.
5. Using the site fairly
Please do not:
- scrape, crawl or copy the site's data in bulk, including prospect data, rankings, crowd numbers and users' records, by any automated means, or use it to build another product;
- use bots or scripts to create accounts, answer challenges, post mocks or skew crowd numbers;
- try to get around security or rate limits, or get into accounts or data that are not yours;
- overload or disrupt the site.
Sharing your own receipts, screenshots and challenge links is encouraged.
6. Who owns what
Yours: your picks and rankings are yours. By posting them you let us store them, show them on the site as described in the Privacy Policy, include them anonymously in crowd numbers, and show published items (like a receipt) when we promote the site. This permission continues after you close your account, for records that have had your name taken off.
Ours: the site's design, software, the way our prospect and draft data is compiled, and the crowd numbers belong to Mock Draft Nation.
Theirs: Mock Draft Nation is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL, the NCAA, any conference, team or player. Team names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the teams.
7. No guarantees
We work hard to get the data right, and every fact on the site is meant to have a source. But mistakes happen, and draft outcomes are unpredictable. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it.
8. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Mock Draft Nation is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you have paid us, whichever is greater.
9. Ending things
You can stop using the site and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Your published records stay on the ledger either way, as described in section 3.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also email account holders. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Mock Draft Nation is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
